[Yongin Jjamppong Restaurant Review] Seafood Lover’s Paradise – “Cheong-eo-ram Gichan Jjamppong” 🦐🍜

Hello, fellow foodies! Today, I’m excited to introduce you to a real hidden gem for Korean-Chinese cuisine lovers — Cheong-eo-ram Gichan Jjamppong, located in Giheung-gu, Yongin. If you're someone who enjoys rich seafood-based jjamppong with a clean yet deep broth, this is the place you’ve been waiting for.

📍 Location & Accessibility
Cheong-eo-ram Gichan Jjamppong is located at 83 Gongse-ro, Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. Though this area has many warehouses and industrial spaces, the restaurant is easy to spot along the main road. There’s parking available for about 10 cars in front of and beside the restaurant, making it convenient for those driving in.

🕙 Business Hours

  • Open: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • Break Time: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

  • Closed: Every Monday

We arrived shortly after opening to avoid the lunch rush, and it was definitely worth it. A calm, clean environment with prompt service awaited us.

🍜 Signature Dish – Gichan Jjamppong (₩14,000)
This dish is their pride and joy. Unlike most red, spicy jjamppong dishes, the Gichan Jjamppong features a white, milky seafood broth, which they claim is patented. One spoonful of the soup and you can truly taste the depth — it's savory, aromatic, and not at all overwhelming.

What makes this dish stand out is its generous portion of premium seafood: a whole abalone, scallops, squid, shrimp, and mussels, all cooked perfectly. Plus, fresh chili peppers give it a slightly spicy kick without overpowering the natural seafood flavors.

🥢 Other Menu Highlights
If white broth jjamppong isn’t your thing, don’t worry. They also offer classic red spicy jjamppong, black bean noodles (jajangmyeon), sweet and sour pork (tangsuyuk), and more. One of my friends had the regular jjamppong and said it had a strong, satisfying smoky flavor — great for those who love that traditional wok-fried aroma.

💬 My Honest Review
This place exceeded expectations. The broth alone is worth the visit, but the freshness and portion of the seafood really push it to another level. It's the kind of dish where you’ll want to finish every drop of soup. I especially recommend it for seafood lovers or those looking for a lighter, cleaner alternative to greasy or overly spicy jjamppong.

Whether you're dining solo, visiting with family, or planning a casual lunch with coworkers, this restaurant ticks all the boxes — flavor, portion size, and a cozy atmosphere.

📸 Photo Tips
Take a close-up shot of the bowl, especially showcasing the whole abalone, scallops, and shrimp. The white broth gives a very photogenic contrast against the seafood and noodles, making it perfect for social media uploads.
