[Yongin Brunch Cafe Recommendation] “Story Cafe” in Gongse-dong – Hearty Handmade Dishes & Cozy Vibes ☕🍽️
Hi everyone! Today, I’m excited to share my visit to a hidden brunch gem in Yongin’s Gongse-dong area — Story Cafe. Known for its hearty handmade dishes and cozy, inviting atmosphere, this café is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing meal in a charming setting.
I had seen Story Cafe on social media a few times, especially praised for its handmade pork cutlets, burgers, and pasta. Naturally, my curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to visit it myself. Spoiler: it was worth the hype!
📍 Location & Exterior
Story Cafe is located in Gongse-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin, just a short drive from Lotte Premium Outlet and Costco Gongse Branch. The exterior has a neat, cozy look — almost like a small European bistro tucked away in the city.
Parking is available in a small vacant lot nearby, but do note that space is limited, especially during weekends and lunch hours.

🍴 Menu Highlights & Taste Review
We tried their Handmade Pork Cutlet Set, Shrimp Rose Pasta, and the Crazy Big Handmade Burger — and everything exceeded expectations.
-
The pork cutlet set came with two thick, crispy cutlets, a bowl of rice, soup, fries, and salad. The pork was juicy and tender inside, with a flavorful golden crust.
-
The shrimp rose pasta had a rich, creamy sauce with a slight kick, generously topped with plump shrimp.
-
The Crazy Big Burger was true to its name — stacked with a juicy handmade beef patty, cheese, fresh vegetables, and even avocado. It was satisfying both in size and taste.
Bonus: If you visit before 2:00 PM, you get a free Americano with your meal — a delightful treat for brunch-goers.
☕ Interior & Atmosphere
The interior is warm and inviting, with natural wood tones and subtle lighting that creates a cozy, homey vibe. Light background music adds to the charm.
There are only about 10 tables, so the space isn’t huge, but it's intimate and perfect for couples or small groups. The café’s decor — small flower pots, framed prints, and sunlit corners — adds to its lovely atmosphere.
📝 My One-Line Review
