[IKEA Food Court Review] More Than Shopping: A Journey into IKEA’s Dining Experience

Hello, everyone!
Today, I’m excited to introduce one of the best parts of visiting IKEA — the IKEA Food Court. Honestly, half the reason people visit IKEA is for shopping, and the other half? Definitely for the food! 🛒🍽️

At IKEA, the food court is divided into two main areas: the Restaurant and the Bistro. Let me walk you through each, along with their must-try menu items.

🥘 IKEA Restaurant

Located roughly in the middle of the store, IKEA’s spacious restaurant offers a wide variety of hearty meals. From traditional Swedish dishes to Korean-adapted flavors, there’s something here for everyone.

Popular Menu Items

  • Swedish Meatballs
IKEA’s signature dish. Juicy meatballs served with creamy mashed potatoes, green peas, lingonberry jam, and savory brown gravy. The price is around 8,900 KRW — totally worth it!

  • Grilled Salmon Fillet
Fresh, ASC-certified salmon grilled to perfection. A lighter yet satisfying option, especially popular among female diners. Priced at about 10,900 KRW.

  • Beef Chop Steak
Thick, juicy beef steak that retains all the meat's original flavors. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal. Costs around 12,900 KRW.

  • Pork Cutlet (Donkatsu)
Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Made from high-quality Korean pork. Perfect for all ages.

  • Carbonara Pasta
Rich and creamy sauce with generous chunks of bacon. A classic comfort dish at just 6,900 KRW.

  • Plant Balls
A meat-free alternative made with plant-based ingredients. Ideal for vegans or those looking for a healthier choice.

  • Kids Menu
Smaller portions of meatballs, plant balls, or Dalahorse chicken nuggets for about 2,900 KRW. Perfect for families!

Drinks are refillable after a one-time purchase, and you can choose from a variety of sodas and coffee. Definitely a plus! ☕🥤

🌭 IKEA Bistro

After you check out at the cashier, you’ll find the Bistro near the store exit. It’s perfect for quick bites after a long shopping spree.

Popular Menu Items

  • Veggie Hot Dog
Only 900 KRW! Made with plant-based ingredients, this hotdog is both healthy and delicious.

  • Cinnamon Bun
Soft, fluffy buns with a rich cinnamon aroma. Perfect for a sweet treat after shopping. Costs about 1,500 KRW.

  • Soft Ice Cream
Starting at just 500 KRW! Creamy and rich in flavor, it’s an absolute must-try.

The Bistro operates quickly even when there are long queues, so you can grab a snack without much waiting. 🎉

🕒 Hours of Operation & How to Use

  • Hours: Typically 9:30 AM – 8:30 PM (last order around 8:00 PM)

  • How it Works:

    • Pick up a tray and cart at the entrance.

    • Choose your dishes (self-service for salads and desserts, order hot dishes at the counter).

    • Pay at the cashier.

    • Get your drink cup and enjoy unlimited refills!

  • Location: Restaurant inside the store; Bistro located at the store exit.

📝 Personal Review

IKEA’s Food Court delivers incredible value for its price. You can enjoy high-quality dishes like meatballs and salmon without breaking the bank. The options for children and vegans are also thoughtfully included.

However, be prepared for crowds, especially during weekends and holidays. If you want a more relaxed experience, visiting before 11 AM or after 2 PM is highly recommended.

Visiting IKEA is already a full-day adventure with furniture shopping, but adding a delightful meal at the food court makes the experience even more perfect.
Next time you go to IKEA, don’t miss out on the food! ✨
